Financial Support for CELTA
Generally, participants on CELTA courses are self-funding. As a concession, recent graduates (from the current year or up to two years ago) of Swansea University are entitled to a £100 CELTA Student Bursary against the cost of the course.
Additionally, a CELTA Staff Bursary provides one supported place per year to a member of Swansea University staff, subject to the provisions of this bursary and at ELTS' and the University's discretion. Interested members of staff should make direct enquiries.
Applicants who are resident in Wales, and who have experienced or will experience redundancy, may apply for ReAct funding via the Welsh Assembly Government.
Access funding Applicants who are resident in the South Wales Valleys, and who are unemployed and registered with Jobcentre Plus, may apply for Access funding via the Welsh Assembly Government. Applications for Access funding must be made separately via Careers Wales in the first instance. Information about Access funding can be obtained from the Careers Wales pages here: //www.careerswales.com/en/skills-gateway/access-programme/
